Dear Parents
Harvest
There is still time to send in donations for the Harvest collection of rice, pasta, tinned food, cereals etc for the Hope charity. See the Bridgewater Twitter (X) or Facebook for more ideas.
Mrs Range, Mr Green and the Year 4 team have worked hard with the children who sound fantastic for their Harvest Production for their families next Thursday at 2pm and Friday at 9.20am.
Parking
Can I remind you that you shouldn’t park or drop off children on the yellow lines just outside the school gate as it causes congestion and is dangerous for pedestrians when cars turn around across driveways and pavements. Local residents have also reported that there was a heated disagreement between parents who were swearing, so please leave a little earlier, find a safe place to park and walk in calmly. Thank you to the vast majority who park with care and consideration.
Diwali Workshop
Thank you to the Year 3 Diwali team who have created illuminated stars out of Willow with Paul from Festival Road. This is for the Diwali Parade on the 4th November in Northampton Town at 6pm. The Year 3 children walk with the parade but all others are welcome to watch the spectacular illuminations including giant animatons representing the Hindu story of Rama and Sita.
Parent Meetings
Please look out for a ParentMail about Parents Evenings coming up after half term. You will need to sign up for a parent teacher meeting appointment online. The first meeting in the Autumn term is just with the teacher and no children. In the Spring term it is parent, teacher and child and in the Summer term we provide a drop in session after reports have gone out.
A Smooth Change
Mrs Range will be with Year 4 Fraser until half term and then we are delighted to welcome Miss Sheikh back who will teach alongside Mrs Watts when Mrs Range goes on maternity leave. We look forward to hearing about the new addition to the Range family in the near future.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Alison Harvey
