Dear Parents
We have had a good week and it’s great to finish with this lovely sunshine.
A message from Bridgewater Governors
A little belated, but Happy New Year to you all.
Back in October, we wrote to you setting out our plans to run termly drop-in sessions this School year. It is hoped that this will allow parents/carers to meet Governors of the School, provide an opportunity to ask any questions about the roles and responsibilities of Governors, as well as a chance for us to listen to any of your thoughts or views.
The next drop-in session is next week on Friday 27th January. On this date, some of our Governors will be present at School and available from 3pm until 3.45pm. A Governor will be in the School office area throughout this time and, from 3.15-3.30pm, a Governor will also be on the School gates as you collect your children from School.
We look forward to seeing you then

Teacher Strike
We plan to open on February 1st which as you may be aware is a date that has been set aside for a teacher strike. Should the situation change in line with Health and Safety we would let you know as soon as practically possible. At this point in time, we believe we can manage the day.
Bikeability
Bikeability was completed last Friday by Y3 and Y4 children who achieved their Level 1 Bikeability certificate. Well done children and thank you to the Bikeability team.
Scooter Rules
Please can you ensure that scooters are not ridden on pavements within the drop off zone as there have been some nasty bumps. Remind the children that they need to take care and be mindful of others on the pavements around the school.
Email / Seesaw correspondence
Whilst we always welcome parents’ comments and feedback, generally we would only respond to emails or Seesaw comments during the school day. Staff will aim to get back to you within 48 hours which doesn’t include weekends or holidays. We thank you for your cooperation and support.
TnS
Thank you to TnS for providing a fun, themed menu on Thursday. Over 600 Super Mario themed cupcakes were baked as part of the menu. Tamlyn, the chef, shared that the icing had beetroot powder in it which ticks the healthy box and everyone loved them.
Have a good weekend
Mrs Alison Harvey
