Dear Parents

Congratulations go to Mr and Mrs Spina who have had a gorgeous little boy called Paulo and congratulations also go to Mr and Mrs Karavadra who also have had a delightful little boy called Avra; we wish them all well and can’t wait to meet the new arrivals.

We say thank you and goodbye to Mrs Torpey who has worked as a TA supporting many year groups across the school and we wish her well for her new ventures overseas.

Cross Country

Last Friday, a number of Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils took part in the Cross Country Championships at Abington Park. The children did exceptionally well -  some receiving medals, some beating personal bests and many children feeling proud for competing in their first ever cross country event. Bridgewater won 2 of the 6 categories on offer - the year 4 girls and year 5 girls. We have received our impressive engraved shields! Our teams came in the top 3 for 5 of the 6 events!

Katie, Elsa and Claudia placed 2nd and 3rd.  It seems that the magic mile has impacted across the school as well as with the x country team, where most classes have taken part at least weekly.

Mobile Phones

We would like to remind you that there should be no mobile phones in use on the site at all for safeguarding reasons.

Parent mails

Can we remind people to read parent mails as a lot of people call the office because they haven’t read their parent mails … but they may not be reading this so could you spread the word!!!

Nut based snacks

We would also like to remind you that there should be no products or snacks in school containing nuts to safeguard children with severe allergies.

Parking behaviour

The parking and behaviour in Ellis Way is completely unacceptable and this week a parent drove on to a local residents drive and has scraped their car and has driven off without reporting the incident.  The police have been informed and if anyone witnessed the event or any other unlawful behaviour please let the police know.

Easter Egg Tombola

Thank you Friends for running the Easter Egg Tombola this evening which was a very popular and fun event.

Well done 4 Picasso for sharing your inspiring learning on your Northampton theme.  You really have learnt a wealth of facts and you shared them with us beautifully through drama, dance and song.  The whole of Y4 have been inspired to do some amazing home learning and it was incredible watching all the projects come in to school which were then exhibited, showing high levels of skill and creativity.

Have a wonderful Easter holiday

Alison Harvey
