Your home learning project is due in on Friday 8th December.
Year 6 really enjoyed our science learning this week. We were learning about the heart and had a great experience observing and dissecting a heart to see what it looked like inside and how the different parts worked and connected together.
Year 6 have been enjoying learning about micro organisms today! We found out about and created fact files for different bacteria, viruses and fungi. We then made them using play dough, observing what they looked like carefully. Did you know you can only see micro organisms under a microscope?
For anyone who was not able to attend the information evening tonight on PGL here is the PowerPoint we talked through.
We have been exploring decimals today with Numicon. We then moved onto working out more and less calculations pictorially and then using abstract methods. Can you use your learning to answer the question below: If the baseboard is 1 and this is my answer, what could my question have been?
Here is our English text map for the descriptive text ‘The Applause’. You all learnt it brilliantly today and performed it clearly with actions! Well done! See if you can recall it to somebody at home!
For anyone who was unable to attend the parents information evening last night, here are the slides we talked through. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Year 6 information evening slides
For anyone who wanted a handout of the statements we will work towards to help the children achieve ‘Expected’ at the end of the year, below is the document shared at the Parents Information Evening. 2017_interim_teacher_assessment_frameworks_at_the_end_of_key_stage_2_150716_PDFa
