This week we have begun to explore positive and negative numbers. We used counters to help us: one colour represented positive numbers and another represented negative numbers. We used these to physically add and subtract and then develop rules for what happens when we add and subtract with negative numbers.

What did you find out Year 6?

I found out that if you take away a negative number you end up adding it.
