This week Year 2 have visited St Peter and St Paul’s church for a ‘Harvest Experience’. We had a very interesting time learning all about Harvest through different activities. We looked at many different items made out of clay when thinking about Harvest of the Earth and made clay bowls. In Harvest of the Garden we looked at vegetables and planted some seeds. We considered the importance of the Harvest of the Grain and tasted bread. We considered the story of Jesus walking on the water and made origami paper boats to learn about the Harvest of the Sea. Finally, we learned how to weave wool in Harvest of the Flock.
During our visit we also learned about the meaning of joy, patience, humility, peace and generosity. We thank Anne and all the other helpers who were involved in helping us understand the importance of our Harvests.
