We had a lovely walk through Abington Park earlier this week when we had our trip to the church and collected lots of Autumn leaves.
On Friday the children drew the leaves using a variety of lines of different sizes, thickness and shapes. Some children also challenged themselves to also make patterns and textures in their drawings by adding dots and lines. After the children had completed their first drawing they worked with their learning partners to give each other advice on how they could improve their second draft of their drawing.
Once complete they children then used primary colour paints (red, yellow and blue) to mix secondary colours to paint their Autumnal leaves. We were so impressed with the children’s focus and concentration to complete their art work. Year 2 can you remember which colours you used to make the colour brown?
