Couple of weeks ago the children had a lovely visit to ‘Pets at home’. The visit consisted of three sections within three separate days (with each class visiting on different days). Before embarking on their journey, the children were very excited getting prepared by putting on their high vis jackets and discussing being safe whilst walking and crossing the roads.
When we arrived, the children had a wonderful session stroking a range of animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes and a few more. They all listened beautifully to the workers as they spoke about each pet. The information gained has made a positive impact to their Literacy work and they completed their own ‘Pets at Home’ booklet, writing about their great experience.
