Mrs Cox and myself visited a fascinating city called Bydgoszcz in Poland for the second planning meeting for our two year Erasmus+ project. Mrs Cox was brought up to date with the administration and we planned our next steps for our ‘Visuals’ project with teachers from Spain, Italy and Poland. The highlight for me was visiting ‘Misolandia’, a Polish nursery run by Sylvia and Pioter especially as we shall be opening our own nursery in January. It was exciting to see that they had incorporated many ideas from Bridgewater that they had seen when they visited last November and taken them on further. Their outside area was an exciting environment of recycled objects and structures where their own forest schools takes place and we were lucky enough to see a lesson in progress. It was great to see the little ones having a music and dance session using the colourful foam blocks below.
We are so fortunate to have the funding from the British Council to be part of this project and learn alongside our European colleagues; it is an enriching experience for our staff, children and community.
