2017 East Midlands HLTA awards

Congratulations to Ann Archer who was a runner up in the East Midlands HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) awards.  Ann was nominated as she is an integral part of the Bridgewater team and has been for many years.

Two years ago she suggested that she would like to learn Spanish and teach it to the children in KS2 in her HLTA role as it is a widely used language.   From day one she taught it in an engaging and fun way inspiring the children and giving them confidence to speak the language.  Her own Spanish language skills have improved dramatically after Erasmus trips to Spain, her dedication to online learning and she has also developed a convincing accent.

All the children know Ann as she teaches PPA sessions throughout the school.  She is a first aider attending many residentials and has been a school governor for over ten years.

Ann is a positive member of staff with a wealth of experience and if we want to locate Ann we just follow the  laughter.  We  are very fortunate to have Ann in our Bridgewater community.
